Chemistry Topics 2000
Integrating technology use into the chemistry curriculum will be the focus of this course. Classroom activities, teaching resources, and tying experiences to the California State Content Standards also will be key components of the week. The class will explore data collection and analysis using CBL equipment and TI graphing calculators; they will use enhanced RasMol software to investigate molecular modeling; and they will create web pages using current findings in chemistry education. Participants will have the opportunity to prepare their own lesson plans, and will explore ideas for connecting chemistry experiences with students and parents.
