More Class Lessons for Advanced WebQuests 2000

The Elementary Webquestion
Summary:
Groups of grade level teachers will evaluate and choose one WebQuest to conduct with their class. After completing the WebQuest, teachers and students both will evaluate their success with the WebQuest and offer suggestions to improve or extend the lesson. This WebQuest is designed to encourage teachers to utilize technology and the Internet in a constructive way.

Outcomes and Assessment:
Since each WebQuest within this WebQuest will be different, the skills needed will vary and will be defined within each exercise. The evaluations turned in by both the teachers and students will give an indication of how successful they were in completing their chosen WebQuests.

Procedure
Opening:Grade level groups of teachers will choose one of three WebQuests to pursue with their classes. They will use a Weighted Average worksheet to determine which WebQuest is most desireable to the whole group.
Development:Each teacher will have the ability to either follow the WebQuest as outlined, or enhance it with ideas and supplemental tools of their own design.
Closing:An evaluation form completed by every teacher and every student who is involved in this WebQuest will provide a Technology or Curriculum Coordinator with the feedback necessary to evaluate the benefit of using WebQuests to encourage higher level thinking.

Included in this WebQuest are instructions for teachers to evaluate the WebQuest they will be using and decide if they would like to change or add anything to make it a better lesson for their students.
