What's The Web Got To Do With It?
Summary:
This WebQuest focuses on demonstrating to teachers the advantage and value of using Internet resources to help them plan and implement standards based instruction. It is designed to give them experience in searching on the World Wide Web, locating multiple sources for lesson plans, standards reform information, and specific curricular sites that will benefit instruction in their classrooms. This experience will also inform teachers about other resources such as locations for retrieval of primary source documents, maps, and other research areas. In addition, teachers will experience other technology proficiencies such as saving to a disk, using word processing skills, evaluating software programs, and acceptable use policies.
Grade Level: K,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12

5 days, 6 hours each day. (Estimated)

Learning and Teaching Activities:
Participants in this course will design a standards based lesson for use in their classroom using information located from Internet sites. The participants will use their district and state standards to identify the specific standard the lesson will focus upon.
