Weather in the Summer
Ojai tends to be hot during the day in the summer, but is usually cooled by ocean breezes at night (we’re 20 miles from the ocean). All classrooms, auditoriums and the dining room are air conditioned; dormitory rooms are not air conditioned.

Transportation Info
Participants coming from large metropolitan areas will be invited to ride a bus to and from Thacher School. Teachers who must drive to campus may purchase a $10 parking pass in order to park for the week. Participants will discover that they will not need their cars during the week; vans and buses are provided for trips to town on Wednesdays, and any other errands are gladly run by student workers.
