The Task

Create two things:

• A set of policies to govern the Fairfield High web site
• A mock-up front page and framework of the site showing the site navigation.

The policies will be a word processed document that covers the issues you believe are important. Be sure to consider :

• Who will create and maintain the site? (student staff, outside professionals, faculty)
• Who will make the final decisions about content of the site and acceptability of content?
• What can and cannot be on the site?
• Who can upload to the server?
• Policies regarding publication of student photos and student work.
• Who has the ultimate responsibility for the ongoing content , appearance and maintenance of the site?

The mock-up of the site may be done in Power Point, HyperStudio, a web editor, or any available graphics program. If none of these are availble, it may be done with colored pens and paper. It can be as detailed as you want to make it but should not be any less than eight pages, cards, screens or whatever is appropriate for the tool you use.
